Nic Roth is an author/illustrator who creates vibrant worlds and bespoke characters using both digital and traditional media. With more than 50 published illustrations appearing in children’s magazines including Cricket, he is currently developing his first traditionally published picture book.

Roth’s art is distinguished by his character-driven illustrations and eye-catching color palettes. His work is rich with hidden details, encouraging viewers to explore and discover new elements.

Nic is known for his whimsical murals found throughout the midwest, bringing his signature style to large-scale public spaces.

When he’s not inventing cute characters, Nic enjoys exploring local trails with his husband, Alec, and their mini dachshund, Charli XCX.
